Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are currently in search of a dedicated professional in the student transportation sector to take on the role of Temporary Regional Recruiter. This position is fully remote.

Stock Transportation boasts extensive experience in delivering safe and dependable transportation services to students throughout Canada. As part of the larger National Express LLC (NELLC) family, we are committed to maintaining exceptional safety standards, outstanding customer service, and fostering positive employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with hiring managers and business stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive improvements in processes.
  • Oversee and manage requisitions for Bus Assistants and Drivers from initiation to hiring, including conducting preliminary interviews.
  • Monitor Driver and Bus Assistant applicants throughout the entire recruitment and training process using systems such as Taleo, Excel, Google Docs, and other relevant software. Communicate effectively with applicants, trainees, and trainers to guide candidates through the recruitment cycle.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify staffing gaps for drivers.
  • Ensure that job postings for Driver positions are accurate and up-to-date on various job boards.
  • Respond promptly to all new candidates.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or recruitment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, ideally within a manufacturing or transportation environment, particularly with unionized workforces.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), particularly with tools like Taleo, PeopleSoft, Banner, or other business-oriented tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate well with others.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proactively seeks solutions to non-standard requests.
  • Applies knowledge and skills to a variety of moderately complex tasks.
  • Demonstrates significant depth of knowledge and skills in their area of expertise.
  • Ability to communicate and build positive relationships with diverse individuals, including peers, leadership, and clients.
