About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative Road to Recovery Program at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our Addictions Medicine team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive and wholistic care to patients and residents battling addiction and substance use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
  • Provide first-line care in emergencies and continuous care, monitoring ongoing care and ordering appropriate screening diagnostic investigations.
  • Establish priorities for management of health, diseases, disorders, and conditions, and provide follow-up treatment.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams about health findings, diagnoses, and priorities, outcomes, and prognoses.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and social service providers to determine the appropriate resources necessary for patients' status.
