Position Overview

The Plywood and LVL Technical Expert will report directly to the Head of Technical Sales Support based in Finland. This role is primarily focused on executing technical plans and conducting mill audits at client facilities, delivering technical and technological assistance to the sales and quotation teams, and engaging in production development initiatives at client sites, as well as R&D projects. The position will be based at the Raute Delta office in the Vancouver area, with a requirement for flexibility to travel to client locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical plans and conduct mill audits at client facilities.
  • Provide technical and technological support to the sales and quotation teams.
  • Design and optimize mill layouts and material flows.
  • Engage in production development projects at client facilities.
  • Assist in the ramp-up of production at mills and modernization projects.
  • Participate in research and development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Engineering or a Master of Science in machine design, automation, or wood processing technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in development or management roles within a plywood, veneer, or LVL manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites both locally and internationally.
  • A valid passport and driver's license are required.
