Job Title: Senior Ecologist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team in Smithers, BC, Vancouver, BC, or Calgary, AB. As a key member of our Environmental Subject Matter Expert - Ecology team, you will provide technical leadership and support to our Mining and Energy teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a technical leader in western Canada, with capacity to conduct work in other jurisdictions across Canada.
  • Support and organize projects and associated deliverables for the terrestrial biodiversity team.
  • Act as a liaison between project management and technical teams.
  • Interact with clients and subcontractors.
  • Track schedules and budgets.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Prior experience in government, and/or mining or oil and gas sectors.
  • Expertise with Federal, Provincial and Territorial regulations and guidelines.
  • Holds relevant professional designation, or immediate eligibility.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven people and project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a demanding work environment.
