Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and self-sufficient individual to fulfill the role of Project Quotations Specialist at our Dartmouth location. The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on achieving results while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee both commercial and industrial project management.
- Address and resolve disputes between customers and suppliers.
- Review and analyze terms and conditions from suppliers and customers.
- Foster and maintain relationships with customers and vendors to enhance business opportunities.
- Conduct regular meetings to update the sales team and management on project statuses.
- Assess job closing losses and develop strategies for improvement.
- Gather and evaluate quote requests from contractors, sales representatives, and bid depositories.
- Review specifications to ensure product requirements are feasible and profitable.
- Coordinate quotations from multiple sources to compile comprehensive packages for clients.
- Manage order placements with manufacturers for materials required for project orders.
- Ensure timely release of materials for shipment and expedite orders as per delivery schedules.
- Monitor and review delivery schedules to ensure compliance.
- Complete closing documentation for all quoted projects.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a college diploma (CET or equivalent) or relevant experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Proficient in Excel and other software applications.
- Experience in project management.
- Knowledge of electrical products is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and IBM AS/400.
- Experience in quotations and project coordination is a significant asset.
