Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement health information technology applications to support clinical practice automation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective usage and understanding of clinical systems.
- Provide front-line support for Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and related applications.
- Analyze application problems and recommend modifications to improve system functionality.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information.
- University degree in Health Informatics or a related field, with a minimum of five years of clinical experience in clinical informatics.
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario or an equivalent allied health professional is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of health informatics principles, clinical practice standards, and data modeling.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment.
