Job Title: EEG/EMG Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG/EMG Technician to join our Neurology and Rehabilitation team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalograms (EEGs) and electromyograms (EMGs) in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage neurological disorders
  • Perform EEGs and EMGs using the latest Natus EEG/EMG hardware and software
  • Conduct clinical analysis and report findings to physicians
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in EEG/EMG technology
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to cutting-edge research

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists and/or the Canadian Board of Registration of EEG Technologists
  • Successful completion of a Diploma of Technology in Electrophysiology or a two-year hospital-based training program
  • CPR certification
