About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at D SPOT DESSERT CAFE. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and equipment are sanitized and in good working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes by hand
  • Replenish condiments and supplies in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Prepare and package take-out food
  • Portion and wrap food items
  • Prepare and heat simple food items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and appliances
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset
  • Criminal record check required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Reliability and teamwork skills required
Work Environment

As a member of our kitchen team, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and may be required to work on weekends and holidays.
