Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time English teacher/tutor to join our team. As an Interactive Coach, you will work directly with students to help them develop their English skills and build their confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English to students at different levels
  • Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grade 9 to Grade 12 curriculum
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 9 to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

$18 - $20 / hour
