We are seeking a passionate and experienced part-time teacher-tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a High School English Teacher/Tutor.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires working during after-school and evening hours, as well as some Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and tutoring high school English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and tutor high school English students in a one-on-one setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve teaching skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grade 9 to Grade 12 curriculum
  • Experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 9 to Grade 12 level
