Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our medical professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, reports, and requests for analyses.
  • Enter data into computer applications and print out documents for distribution to personnel and service users.
  • Handle mail, write correspondence, and update filing systems.
  • Provide excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to deal with service users, book appointments, and forward messages.
  • Work well under pressure and independently with minimal supervision, handling multiple files simultaneously.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, the MSSS Network, and administrative regulations.
  • Good knowledge of routine office work and Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, practical, and attentive to detail.
Language

Fluent in English and French; Cree Language is an asset.
