Job Title: Global Equity Analyst

The BMO Global Equity team is seeking a highly skilled Global Equity Analyst to join their team. As a Global Equity Analyst, you will be responsible for performing qualitative and financial analysis on companies within the consumer discretionary and staples sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the consumer discretionary and staples sectors
  • Conduct financial and qualitative analysis on companies within the sectors
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of macro-economic, geopolitical, and world issues and their impact on the sectors
  • Pitch timely and actionable investment recommendations and sector ideas to the portfolio management team
  • Conduct independent research and develop differentiated insights, supported by data, and present findings with conviction
  • Publish reports that include in-depth and critical research/analysis and investment rationale

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the investment management industry
  • Progress toward CFA charter preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in deep, differentiated fundamental analysis within the investment industry
  • Working knowledge of capital markets and investment management
  • Deep curiosity on subject matter
  • Articulate and confident communication skills
