Job Summary:

The Food Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and Sanitize: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Food Preparation: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware. Portion and wrap foods. Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables. Take customers' orders. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment. Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors. Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Work Environment:

The Food Counter Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail required.
