We are currently seeking a part-time Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support our Residential division. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties reflect our standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations as outlined by Northern Property REIT
  • Performing drywall repairs, preparing surfaces for painting, and executing painting tasks
  • Conducting minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging toilets, bathtubs, and sinks, as well as replacing faucet cartridges and maintaining heating systems
  • Executing minor renovations on kitchen fixtures, cabinetry, and windows
  • Managing lock repairs and replacements
  • Handling minor electrical tasks, such as repairing electrical locks and ensuring the functionality of security systems
  • Maintaining and repairing kitchen appliances, including stoves and refrigerators
  • Assisting with suite renovations and other minor enhancements
  • Transporting equipment, materials, and supplies as necessary
  • Responding to work orders and emergencies promptly and effectively
  • Clearing snow from walkways and communal areas when required
  • Delivering notices to residents and posting relevant information in shared spaces
  • Conducting regular inspections of the buildings
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
  • Assisting in the execution of preventative maintenance initiatives
  • Providing resident support and fostering positive relationships with tenants

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in building maintenance
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record check
  • Valid driver's license and annual driver's abstract if operating a company vehicle
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs with equipment

Compensation: $20.40/hour
