Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at PCL Construction. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in leading large estimates and mentoring junior estimators. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company and contributing to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Establish critical path schedules and completion timelines to meet contract completion dates.
- Complete full quantity take-off of labor, equipment, and materials for larger scopes.
- Lead pricing for general expense and project-specific general requirements.
- Assist in presenting estimates and prepare client presentations.
- Perform quantity, material, and labor take-off from drawings and specifications.
- Document all estimate information and archive it for future reference.
- Conduct risk and opportunity analysis for review by the chief estimator.
- Liaise with external consultants and project management organizations to estimate project budget requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or trade experience.
- Gold Seal certification in estimating required.
- 12 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating with 12 months of onsite experience preferred.
- Successful experience leading pursuits valued up to $250 million.
- Experience with self-perform estimate and productivity understanding.
- Knowledge of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, and timelines.
- Extensive knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation.
- Ability to lead successful teams and develop productive working relationships.
