Traffic Signal Installation Technician

FNX-INNOV is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of vital infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing the installation of traffic lights, street lamps, and surveillance cameras across the city's road network. Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring construction activities, conducting field surveys, and assisting with project planning.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Monitoring the installation of traffic signals, street lighting, and surveillance systems on roadways.
  • Overseeing the reconstruction of underground electrical infrastructure and conduits, as well as sidewalk improvements.
  • Conducting thorough field surveys to assess project requirements.
  • Providing support in the development of comprehensive project plans.
  • Preparing detailed technical reports documenting project progress and findings.
  • Assisting the project manager in executing their responsibilities effectively.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A college diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Familiarity with geometric design, marking, and signage standards and practices is an asset.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and ASP construction card.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, and related software is advantageous.
  • Strong French language skills (both written and spoken).
  • Prior experience with the City of Montreal is beneficial.
