About the Role

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Mergers and Acquisitions Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with clients to identify and mitigate tax risks, develop sustainable structuring opportunities, and create tax models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct tax due diligence procedures and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Develop tax structuring documents for transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
  • Conduct in-depth tax research and develop complex tax models to support client needs

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax consulting, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions
  • Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation
  • Excellent communication and research skills, with a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise
