About This Role

Mondelēz International is seeking a skilled Machinist - Tool & Die Maker to join our team in a heavy industrial environment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment and systems to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain equipment to support various producing units, including power saws, manual lathes, milling machines, and material handling equipment.
  • Perform tasks to support operations of various producing units, including reading and understanding CNC programs and producing simple programming.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished product to meet specifications.
  • Assist with the maintenance or repair of equipment.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management.

Requirements

  • General Machinist Certificate of Qualification (429A) or Tool and Die Maker Certificate of Qualification (403A)
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of machine operations, TPM-Total Productive Maintenance Tools, and safety and quality standards for operating machinery.
  • Ability to work in a unionized, highly industrial setting and adapt to varying hours of work, including 8 and 12 hour rotating shifts.

Work Environment

  • The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility.
  • Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times.
  • Employees work in a unionized, highly industrial setting.
  • The position requires you to work overtime as needed.
