About UsEstablished as a not-for-profit entity, Physics World is dedicated to advancing research initiatives in nuclear science and technology. We promote education, foster new faculty positions, and operate advanced facilities that support innovative research.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategic direction and operational execution of the organization.
- Act as the primary representative of Physics World to stakeholders and the public.
- Facilitate collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners to enhance research opportunities.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of our research facilities, including the delivery of essential medical resources.
- Oversee funding allocations for research projects, ensuring alignment with our mission of innovation.
- Foster a workplace culture that prioritizes safety, respect, and productivity.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Doctoral degree in nuclear science, chemistry, physics, engineering, or health sciences, with a proven record of executive leadership, or
- A Master's degree in the aforementioned fields, coupled with substantial executive experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong capacity for leadership in a unique organization focused on nuclear innovation, along with a history of successful revenue generation.
