About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team at Sweet Harbour Toy & Candy Co. Ltd. As a Food Service Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Food Preparation and Service: Load buspans and trays, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and take customers' orders.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) is required.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, reliability, team player, and positive attitude are essential.
