We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our Process Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical management for process design activities for a new build Nuclear Power Plant project.
Key Responsibilities- Manage individuals and teams executing commercial and internal work packages throughout the design, procurement, and construction phases of the project.
- Approve technical documents and plan and execute work consistent with quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Remove barriers that would impact deliverables to meet project requirements and priorities, working with assigned staff to find optimal solutions.
- Participate in the preparation of commercial proposals and forecast resource demands for the assigned work scope.
- Interface with customers and deliver engineering products in accordance with specifications and contract requirements.
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, or eligible to obtain such registration within six (6) months of hiring.
- Ten (10) years of process systems design experience in heavy industries, including experience leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing staff in a unionized work environment.
- Five (5) years of CANDU technology experience is an asset.
- Experience working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant ASME and CSA Codes and Standards.
