This is an exciting opportunity to join the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board as a Plant Operations Manager. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversee day-to-day operations of building and facilities maintenance, cleaning, and health and safety projects, programs, and services for an assigned multi-location facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise custodial and maintenance staff
- Oversee building and facilities maintenance, cleaning, and health and safety projects, programs, and services
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and board policies
- Completion of post-secondary education in building systems engineering or building environmental systems
- Minimum of five years of progressive work experience in plant operations and facility management
- Occupational Health and Safety Core Certification - Level 3 and WHIMS Training
- Operations of Small Drinking Water Certification
- Ontario Class G driver's licence
- Excellent communication and diplomatic skills
- Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Electrical Code, Ontario Plumbing Code, Canadian Safety Standards, WHMIS, OHS Act, Environmental Protection Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Play Space Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Board Policies and Procedures; CUPE Collective Agreement
- Computer literate, knowledge and experience in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs in keeping with latest programs supplied by Board
