Position Overview:
The Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect is pivotal in defining and executing our organization's technological and operational strategies. This position will pinpoint and implement solutions that tackle intricate technological and operational issues, aligning with Coast Capital Savings' (CCS) strategic objectives, influencing the overall business trajectory; solutions will encompass both specific business units and organization-wide initiatives, particularly focusing on innovative and complex data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate detailed solution architecture strategies and designs that resonate with business objectives and enhance existing systems. Lead collaborative design sessions with both business and technical stakeholders, meticulously documenting and presenting solution designs to relevant parties. Ensure adherence to regulatory, enterprise architecture, and data management standards to mitigate risk.
- Comprehend business imperatives and capabilities (current and future) to ascertain corresponding enterprise solution designs and modification needs to achieve targeted business results.
- Engage with business units and subject matter experts to craft both short-term and long-term solution strategies, assessing current technology landscapes to identify and rectify critical gaps. Recommend technical architectural standards and frameworks, advocating for new technologies to advance existing systems.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders, acting as a bridge between technical teams and business divisions. Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language to foster consensus among non-technical stakeholders and resolve conflicting requirements.
- Guide and mentor technical teams, establishing best practices in architectural design and frameworks. Supervise solution implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and championing new technologies as the technical authority during significant project decisions.
- Participate in solution governance as a member of the Solution Architecture Review Committee (SARC) when necessary.
- Conduct technical risk and vulnerability assessments as part of the solution architecture process, proposing strategies for risk mitigation and engaging in decision-making to address those risks.
- Design and implement integrated enterprise solutions to guarantee seamless data flow across various platforms and applications, optimizing system performance through ongoing enhancements and assisting technical teams with operational challenges.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with 7 - 9 years of relevant experience. Experience in designing solutions within the Financial/Banking sector is preferred.
- Proficient in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Experience with core banking systems, digital banking platforms, and open banking standards.
- Extensive understanding of software architecture, application development, and technical processes, with significant knowledge of information architecture principles and modeling techniques.
- Experience in designing data models utilizing data architecture patterns, including views and tools (e.g., Erwin).
- Experience in analyzing and translating business requirements into sustainable long-term solutions that define new data models supporting business initiatives and regulatory obligations.
- Experience in evaluating existing data systems for fitness.
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure design practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with various project delivery methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, SAFe.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to convert business requirements into sustainable solutions.
