Job Title: Banquet Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Banquet Supervisor to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our banquet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to plan and organize corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup and take down, decorations, audiovisual equipment, and seating arrangements.
  • Train and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and event setup crew.
  • Directly supervise staff during events, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of food and beverage experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Previous banquets experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and coordinate events simultaneously.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during events.
  • Deep understanding of hospitality industry standards and trends.
  • Valid ProServe certification.
  • Experience working in a variety of restaurant settings.
  • Completion of a business or hospitality degree is preferred.
