Construction Assistant

Position: Construction Assistant
  • Education: No formal education required
  • Experience: Prior experience is advantageous
  • Work Environment: Primarily outdoors
  • Work Setting: Both urban and rural locations
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Load, unload, and transport building materials
    • Construct and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
    • Mix, pour, and distribute materials such as concrete and asphalt
    • Support the medical examiner in charge
    • Assist in framing structures, erecting walls, and constructing roofs
    • Level ground to precise specifications
    • Pave and rake asphalt surfaces
    • Help in the demolition of structures
    • Organize and clean salvaged materials
    • Manage chemical spills and other hazardous materials
    • Clear rubble and debris from construction sites
    • Operate machinery or equipment utilized in construction
    • Control traffic at or near construction zones
  • Transportation Requirements: A valid driver's license is necessary
  • Physical Demands:
