Position Overview

Join Orchard View Builders Ltd. as a Construction Assistant and contribute to various projects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: No formal education required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in construction is advantageous.
  • Work Environment: Primarily outdoors, with opportunities in both urban and rural settings.
  • Core Tasks:
    • Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
    • Help in the erection and dismantling of structures such as concrete forms and scaffolding.
    • Participate in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete and asphalt.
    • Support the construction team in framing, wall erection, and roofing tasks.
    • Level ground to meet specific grading requirements.
    • Engage in paving and raking asphalt surfaces.
    • Assist with building demolition activities.
    • Organize and clean salvaged materials.
    • Manage clean-up of chemical spills and other hazardous materials.
    • Remove debris and rubble from construction sites.
    • Operate or assist with machinery and equipment used in construction.
    • Direct traffic safely around construction zones.
  • Transportation Requirements: A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
    • Capability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
    • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Compensation:
