About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team at Metro Inc. in Saint-Anne-de-La-Pérade. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing, arranging, and displaying various products in accordance with our standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, arrange, and display products in accordance with our standards and requirements.
• Apply standards of merchandising (product rotation, expiration dates, etc.).
• Cook, package, and display bread products.
• Know and apply sanitation standards: hygiene, cleanliness, health, and safety within the department.
• Respond to customer needs and requests with efficiency and courtesy.
• May be required to perform orders and receive merchandise from the department.
• Apply standards of store layout and maintenance.
• Collaborate in maintaining customer service standards in the store.
• Perform any other related tasks as requested by your immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

• 0-6 months of experience in a similar role.
• Availability for day, evening (week and weekend) work.

• Courteous and polite demeanor at all times.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and manipulate merchandise.
• Able to work in a hot/cold environment at times.
• Knowledge and application of workplace health and safety standards at all times.
