About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at ACE CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATIONS. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Prepare detailed layouts and measurements to ensure accurate construction
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential issues
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and steel
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with building codes and company standards
    • Identify and report any defects or issues to the project manager
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train junior carpenters and apprentices
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • At least 7 months of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Reliability and attention to detail
