About the Role

CANDID RENOVATIONS INC. is seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of wood structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for framing and installation projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for framing and installation projects
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and professional finish
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure they meet the highest standards of workmanship and safety
  • Estimate costs and materials for framing and installation projects to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including commercial and residential properties
Work Environment

As a Framing Carpenter with CANDID RENOVATIONS INC., you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in framing and installation
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour and work in a fast-paced environment
