Project Control Officer Job Description

At CB Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Control Officer to join our team. As a Project Control Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing strategic guidance and support to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project control processes and procedures to ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
  • Provide input to project strategy by analyzing current operations, researching best practices, and understanding industry trends.
  • Support the investigation, analysis, and documentation of project risks, and provide recommendations to project teams.
  • Analyze data and information to provide project insights and recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Communicate project information and updates to stakeholders, and ensure that project deliverables are met.
  • Support the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that project teams are aware of project expectations.
  • Provide support for project change management, and ensure that project changes are properly documented and communicated to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous financial industry experience required.
  • Previous experience with project management software.
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel/Vlookups) skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration and team skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data-driven decision making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Project Officer (CPO), or working towards PMI/PMP considered an asset.
  • Clarity experience an asset.

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid work arrangement, with a mix of remote and in-office work.
