Job Summary:

As a key member of the Giesecke+Devrient team, the Manufacturing Scheduler will play a critical role in optimizing production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and forecasted customer demand. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure efficient use of resources and meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to communicate optimized schedules and update planning software as needed.
  • Monitor production output and identify potential risks to delivery, developing and implementing remedial actions to mitigate impacts.
  • Participate in daily manufacturing status meetings to provide schedule updates and address any issues or concerns.
  • Engage with sales and client services to establish schedules for incoming work and ensure timely communication regarding schedule attainment.
  • Proactively address fulfillment challenges, such as schedule discrepancies and capacity issues.
  • Develop and maintain reports and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Train back-up schedulers as needed and perform other duties to support the changing business needs.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning software and systems, including Tactic.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • APICS certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Working Conditions:

The Manufacturing Scheduler will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will be required to wear safety shoes and a smock on the production floor.
