Job Summary

The Food Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Inventory Management: Keep records of the quantities of food used and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Food Handling: Handle and store cleaning products, wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Teamwork: Work as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment

The Food Counter Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and will be required to work under pressure.
