Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  2. Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, ensuring safe radiation protection practices.
  3. Prepare patients for examination, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  4. Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
  5. Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
  6. Clean and test equipment, performing quality control tests and minor adjustments as needed.
  7. Perform clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
  8. Participate in the instruction of employees and/or students, assisting with departmental orientations and in-service presentations.
  9. Participate in approved research and special projects, collaborating with supervisor and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications

Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is required. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare staff.
