Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Worker to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Laundry Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of medical linens and clothing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to wash and sanitize medical linens and clothing.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles to ensure they are properly cleaned and stored.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles to prepare them for distribution.
  • Operate dryers and washing machines to ensure efficient and effective cleaning processes.
Work Environment

As a Laundry Worker, you will be working in a fast-paced hospital laundry setting. You will be exposed to noisy equipment, odors, and wet/damp conditions.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Criminal record check is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Client focus and attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This is a casual position, requiring the ability to work a variable schedule. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
