About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Director to lead our IT Financial Management (ITFM) benchmarking engagements. As a key member of our Research Division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients, providing them with valuable insights and guidance to drive measurable results in their organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead ITFM Benchmarking Engagements
  • Develop and deliver ITFM's flagship offering – IT Spend and Staffing Benchmarking engagements, working closely with analysts to ensure high-quality results.
  • Provide expert guidance to C-suite clients in the IT Financial Management space, sharing insights on how to manage costs better and learn from industry best practices.
  • Continuously improve the benchmarking service by identifying new ways to represent data and enhance the insights delivered.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, contributing to the development of new ideas related to the benchmarking service.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Support
  • Contribute to Call Advisory, Workshops, and Global Services teams by advising peers on IT Spend and Staff Benchmark research and analysis as needed.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and feedback to other departments across the Research Division and partnering divisions, such as Sales, Public Relations & Marketing, etc.
  • Design and deliver high-quality presentations, and successfully present to clients as needed.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred); an MA, MBA, or MSc is beneficial.
  • Professional certifications in Finance and Accounting, Project Management, Business Analysis, or related disciplines are valuable.
  • Practical experience working in one or more of the following domains is necessary:
  • IT Cost Benchmarking
  • IT Financial Management
  • Project Management
  • Experience in project-driven environments
  • While not a people management role, experience in leading teams is highly desired given the nature of advisory services offered.
  • Presentation and facilitation experience demonstrated through prior client-facing engagements is important.
  • A history of gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with management, with strong working relationships with C-suite executives, is beneficial.
