Maintenance Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Facilities Manager to oversee all maintenance and repair activities related to facility equipment at MAHLE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation of production equipment and supporting manufacturing staff in product launch activities. Additionally, the Maintenance Facilities Manager will be in charge of controlling costs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate preventative maintenance and repair of facility equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Analyze manufacturing efficiency issues and implement corrective actions to improve overall plant performance.
  • Coordinate facility expansion and modification projects to ensure seamless integration with existing operations.
  • Support product launch activities by ensuring proper spare parts management and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Lead maintenance activities to support plant operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and waste management controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for maintenance and production activities, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Establish and maintain an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS) to protect company assets.
  • Manage local security measures for employee and property protection, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations in the province of Ontario.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, with experience in implementing and maintaining compliance.
  • College Diploma or Skilled Trades certificate, with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Preventative Maintenance.
  • Understanding of Plastics Manufacturing Process and production tooling, with experience in managing maintenance activities for similar equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the IATF 16949 standard, with experience in implementing and maintaining compliance.
  • Ability to meet operational objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction.
