Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Bonnyville. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who reside in the area or are willing to relocate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on Vacuum Trucks, Combos, Water Trucks, Tankers, Skid-Steers, and Pressure Trucks
  • Diagnose and Repair Diesel Engines, Aftertreatment/Emissions Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and Pumps
  • Troubleshoot Issues, Inspect Equipment, and Replace or Repair Defective Parts
  • Interpret Work Orders
  • Occasionally Respond to Service Calls in the Field
  • Mentor Apprentices and Assist in Their Development
  • Attend Daily Toolbox and Safety Meetings as Scheduled
  • Complete Other Assigned Tasks
Role Specifications
  • Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman Certification Required
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with No More Than 5 Demerits in the Last 3 Years
  • Class 1 or 3 Driver's License Considered an Asset
  • Experience with Hydraulic, Electrical, and Pump Systems is Beneficial
  • Experience Troubleshooting Emission System Issues Using Diagnostic Software (Typically Cummins) Is an Asset
  • Ability to Pass a Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Must Provide Own Tools
