Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at PRESCOTT SMOKESHOP & GROCERY INC.
Job Summary:The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing a team of staff members.
Key Responsibilities:- Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances.
- Inventory Management: Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules for staff members.
- Sales and Reporting: Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, including 3-4 people.
- Computer and Technology: Familiarity with point of sale systems.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
