Position Overview:This role is primarily focused on overseeing the inventory levels of finished goods for all products manufactured at our facilities, as well as managing the logistics of shipping and receiving operations. The objective is to ensure optimal raw and packaging material levels while minimizing waste. This includes the coordination of direct customer shipments and third-party logistics, alongside maintaining precise inventory records. The position also entails leading, evaluating, and developing the shipping and receiving teams, along with inventory management responsibilities.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels within the distribution network to fulfill customer demands.
  • Develop the preliminary production schedule (ranging from 7 days to 13 weeks) and identify any potential capacity or service challenges.
  • Evaluate and propose inventory build strategies and safety stock levels.
  • Address anticipated stock shortages and manage excess inventory situations.
  • Monitor product availability against out-of-code date (OCD) risks.
  • Communicate updates regarding new or modified Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP to maintain product quality and enhance food safety initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of inbound raw and packaging materials to align with production needs, ensuring inventory accuracy and minimizing waste.
  • Lead the performance of the shipping and receiving teams.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with manufacturing and co-packing facilities.
  • Conduct analyses to support Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Understand customer requirements to ensure shipping and delivery processes align with their expectations.
  • Manage export documentation and processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for both finished goods and raw/packaging materials through effective coordination and management of inventory processes.
  • Guarantee timely and precise material deliveries to support daily operations.
  • Meet customer service and delivery expectations consistently.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • A results-driven individual with a proven track record.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing, including managerial or supervisory roles.
  • Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and adept at managing deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on providing fact-based information.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective prioritization capabilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office applications and AS400 systems.
