Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain a positive customer service attitude.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries for the chef.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The work site environment is noisy, with odours, wet/damp conditions, and hot temperatures.
