Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Insurance Service Representative to join our team at Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP). As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, resolving complex issues, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Respond to member inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product and service information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess risks for automobile and property policies, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and processed accurately.
  • Product Promotion: Promote our products and services to potential members, answering questions and providing information to increase sales potential.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of insurance transactions, including filing and documenting records as required.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in insurance products and services.
Requirements
  • RIBO License: Must hold a valid RIBO license or be willing to obtain one within the first three months of employment.
  • Insurance Courses: Must have completed or be committed to completing the CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile insurance courses or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in personal lines automobile and property insurance is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
