Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Nickel City Steel Limited. This role involves operating various metalworking machinery and ensuring high-quality production standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal education required
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in metal fabrication
Work Environment
  • Industry: Metal product manufacturing
  • Type: Structural steel fabrication
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify product specifications including shapes and dimensions
  • Maintain and service machinery and equipment
  • Manipulate metal stock through cutting, bending, rolling, and welding
  • Document all completed tasks accurately
  • Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical issues
  • Set up and operate various metalworking machines
  • Interpret technical specifications and follow verbal instructions
  • Transport materials to work areas as needed
Equipment Proficiency
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Experience with drills and saws
  • Proficient in using lifting devices and overhead cranes
  • Ability to operate CNC machines
Transportation Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Access to a personal vehicle is necessary
Physical Demands
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of handling heavy loads
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Tools and Equipment
