Position Overview

Nickel City Steel Limited is seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. This role involves working in a dynamic environment focused on the production of metal products.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal education required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in a related field.
Work Environment
  • Industry: Metal product manufacturing.
  • Type: Structural steel and platework fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet specified shapes, dimensions, and other criteria.
  • Maintain and service machinery and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Manipulate metal stock through cutting, bending, rolling, and welding to create parts or products.
  • Document completed tasks accurately.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, performing minor repairs as necessary.
  • Set up and operate various metalworking machines, both light and heavy.
  • Interpret specifications and follow verbal instructions effectively.
  • Transport materials to the work area, utilizing cranes or hoists when needed.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and CNC machinery.
  • Experience with drills, saws, and lifting devices.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes.
Transportation Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle.
Physical Demands
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to handle heavy loads, with lifting requirements up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Work Tools
  • Steel-toed safety boots and personal tools are required.
