Overview:

In this pivotal role, the Product Category Coordinator will report directly to the Category Manager, playing a crucial part in the management and execution of the product life cycle from initial concept through to market introduction. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including item setup and vendor file upkeep.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the advertising planners are meticulously maintained, guaranteeing all information is accurate and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Oversee the accuracy of product descriptions and specifications utilized in promotional materials, including flyers, catalogs, online content, and in-store displays.
  • Evaluate the precision of promotional content across all channels, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Develop and uphold annual vendor agreements in collaboration with the Category Manager.
  • Keep vendor contact information current and communicate any changes to relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Compile and maintain product listings by vendor, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  • Conduct market research to maintain competitive pricing and promotional strategies as directed by the Category Manager.
  • Prepare weekly bulletins that highlight new products and essential departmental information for distribution to cross-functional partners.
  • Manage workflow effectively to meet critical deadlines as set by the Category Manager.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of products and lifestyle trends is advantageous.
