About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sports Content Editor to join our team at theScore. As a key member of our editorial department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and consistency of our sports content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit and publish sports-related content, including articles, features, and captions, across various sports leagues and platforms.
  • Collaborate with our team of news editors to provide editorial guidance and constructive feedback to ensure high-quality content.
  • Adhere to theScore's editorial guidelines and policies to maintain our brand's integrity and reputation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sports news and developments to ensure our content is timely and relevant.
  • Other duties as required to support the editorial team.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of sports, particularly the four major professional sports leagues, as well as NCAA football and basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and MMA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media and online platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in sports media or a related field is an asset.
