About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Protection and Safety Specialist to join our team at RONA Inc. As a key member of our Asset Protection and Operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our stores, employees, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection and Safety Oversight
    • Develop and implement asset protection and safety strategies to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment
    • Conduct regular audits and quality controls to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities
  • Investigations and Incident Response
    • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and losses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
    • Develop and implement incident response plans to ensure timely and effective response to emergencies
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and coaching to store employees on asset protection and safety procedures
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in asset protection and safety
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Partner with store management and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration on asset protection and safety initiatives
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure effective asset protection and safety practices
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in asset protection and safety, preferably in a retail environment
    • Relevant certifications, such as a security guard license or loss prevention certification
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficiency in IT tools and software
