Job Title: CSH Technician AVN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a CSH Technician AVN, you will be responsible for performing first and second line aircraft maintenance on the Cormorant Helicopter in support of our Canadian Search and Rescue operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on aircraft mechanical, structural, and electrical systems and components, and ground support equipment.
- Conduct pre/post flight inspections and support, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, and installation of required mission equipment.
- Perform ground runs of engines and auxiliary power units, where qualified and authorized.
- Travel and work at other main operating bases, deployments in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
- Provide on-job-training to other employees.
- Attend training for trade and professional development and for qualification, recertification, authorization purposes.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and directives established by the Company.
- Provide supervision to other employees.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft aviation technician within the Canadian Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures, and power generation and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of use of special tools and equipment, corrosion and corrosion control techniques, and ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Valid NS Class 5 Driver License, able to drive vehicles, tow tractors, and support vehicles.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
- Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Learn & 8S activities in your area.
- Incumbents must be able to pass and maintain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
- The successful applicants will be eligible to meet requirements for the U.S International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
- Applicants must be able to pass and maintain a Level II (Secret) security clearance with the Department of National Defence.
