About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct and indirect rehabilitation services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients, their support systems, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct individual and group interventions to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Consult with community-based agencies to ensure effective entry and participation in life skills, education, employment, and leisure programs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities, such as client conferences and team meetings.
  • Act as a consultant/resource to services in the community who provide rehabilitation services for ACT team clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University.
  • Two years' recent experience working with psychiatric clients in an acute or community psychiatric setting.
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - British Columbia (CAOT - BC).
