Job Title: Account Payables Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Payables Manager to join our team at RONA Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling daily operational activities associated with the AP team, ensuring internal controls and processes are adhered to in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely processing of payments and resolve complex A/P related issues
  • Work closely with external departments and vendors to resolve issues and ensure compliance with vendor-payment terms
  • Monitor A/P Aging and ensure aged payables are resolved and proper review and reconciliation processes are in place
  • Generate financial reports and support the finance team to ensure a smooth year-end audit
  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in an accounting or financial analysis role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience working on transformation and process improvement projects
  • Leadership experience with direct report responsibility and ability to work within a high-volume transaction environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively deal with both external and internal stakeholders
  • Bilingual (French and English) as this role requires communication with out-of-province stakeholders
