Job Summary:

The Manitoba Metis Federation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centre Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Li Pchi Taanfaan Childcare Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and implementing Métis-specific programming and curriculum, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and care for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Métis-specific programming and curriculum
  • Oversee the registration of children and collection of parent and subsidy fees
  • Manage centre budget and participate in annual budget preparation
  • Develop partnerships with outside agencies, resources, and community partners
  • Maintain public relations with all stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Child Development Degree or ECE III Diploma, Advanced ECE III Diploma
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a Centre Director role or relevant role
  • Knowledge and experience with Fastoche required, or a willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Knowledge of Métis culture, MMF programs, and services is a definite asset
